Whose Life Would You Save?

For those curious about where I got the idea for the poll, read Whose Life Would You Save in this month's Discover magazine. Unfortunately, the online link only has the full story for subscribers.

The gist of the article was a scientist's research into moral paradoxes. He would use MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) to view how people's brains react when they experience moral dilemmas. He's leaning to the conclusion that some moral behavior may have evolved, while other moral behavior is a matter of conditioning. It's well worth picking up the magazine and perhaps learning a thing or two about your beliefs.
Man, I was just arguing with someone earlier who claimed that morality is based in religion.
