Space Station

Jupiter

Well, that was strange. NASA has posted a gif animation of Jupiter and a couple of moons. But looking at it closely reveals that the image is upside-down.

(Well, strictly speaking, there's no "upside-down" in space, but they put the southern hemisphere in the top of the animation and the northern hemisphere at the bottom)
According to the caption, the images were taken from a telescope in Australia. Little-known astronomical fact, but in Earth's southern hemisphere, astrophotographic 'up' is south.
Ok, how the heck do you tell????? Confused as always....LOL
