Flight to the UK

My ticket is purchased and I've finally received my entry clearance. Everything is working out well. Both my work permit and entry clearance are valid for longer than my passport (which expires in three years). Hopefully there won't be too much paperwork to get my entry clearance transferred to my new passport, but I have plenty of time before I have to worry about that.

I've had to start telling some friends that I can no longer fit them into my schedule as I'm booked solid until I fly out. Fortunately, I've had plenty of time to see most of them before I leave, so it's not too bad, but I'm going to be a tired puppy on the flight as I'll be a non-stop whirlwind for the next couple of weeks.

Looking forward to seeing some of my friends in the UK!

i think they just give you new passport and leave the old one with visa- you travel with two passrorts- one expired with visa and the other renewed. I just had my son's passport renewed - the visa is in his old passport.

Good luck. It's good here, just raining all winter:(
Any time for Grant and Marissa? We didn't get to make ti to your party. :(
A lot of my time for next week is dedicated to being with Sean and Lil. If anything can be worked out, it has to be done around their schedules. However, I'll be at Noir on Saturday. It's not the same thing, but it's all I've got.
well congratulations! also i did find the cd here, you can pick it up whenever you can squeeze the time i let cindy know that you forgot it.
Well Curtis. I know we only saw each other a few times, but it has been a pleasure knowing you. I wish you the best of luck in your move and your new job and I'm looking forward to hears your tales of adventure in the UK.
Let us know when you get here, and we'll definitely try to meet up (plus I'll see what I can do about putting you in touch with friends of mine in Nottingham).
Hwre, we're in the same country as you for about 4-6 weeks, so hopefully, we'll be able to meet up in Nottingham. Mr Tanuja's family live in a large village (really, it's large enough to qualify for a town, but it's just that that kind of place) near Nottingham, which means that we've got ready made babysitters, should you be up for a night out.
That sounds great! I'm looking forward to meeting you. I've loved reading your LJ, though I don't always comment on it. I suspect we'll have a bit to talk about.
When do you leave? the 6th?

If anyone flakes, or if you need help w/ anything, or if you are having a group get together to which I would be welcome, please let me know.

*wishes you the best of luck*
We both know that you won't have to worry about renewing your passport because by then you will have found some hot foreign babe to marry you. Remember- sometimes the language barrier can work in your favor. "I'm sorry honey I didn't understand what you meant. My French is rusty."

I'm glad to hear that you will still be here for Sean's party. I'm planning on going but am very shy in groups of people I don't know. It will be nice to have another semi familiar face there.

Good luck with getting ready for your big, semi scary adventure. I can only imagine how much there is to get done before you leave.
I'm so glad I got to see you before you left! I just talked to Dai tonight and he said he was going to try and get out here real soon and he promised! He also promised to finally send you an email. And who knows? Maybe I'll be out there in the next year or sooner myself visiting Dai, in which case I'll be able to meet the rest of our brothers and sister! I'm gonna miss you sooo soooo bad! Big Hugs!!
