Pre-training. Accident

I accidentally ran four miles today.

I didn't mean to. In fact, I intended to not have any runs over three miles during my pre-training in order to minimize my risk of injury. Today, I did a couple of things differently. In order to overcome the hill, I reversed the route. The hill on the other side is longer and less steep. I also deliberately ran slow, pacing myself. At the end of the three miles, I had so much energy I ran past my apartment and figured I'd run around the block or something. I wound up running an extra mile. This makes 13 miles for the week. At this rate, I should be able to finish a marathon in two weeks plus change :)
