Three guesses why this "exercise equipment" never caught on.

You have to wonder just who the hell thought they were going to make their fortune on this thing. How could you not realize what a laughingstock this thing is?

Promo Outtakes

As some may recall, I was asked to make a promotional video for a conference in Portugal.

A few people have asked me for the outtakes. I threw them months ago, but Youtube couldn't process the file for some reason. I tried again today and it's fine. If you're listening to this in front of others, be forewarned that there's a lot of profanity. (And you can watch it in high quality, if you prefer)

George Bush "Cash for Access" Scandal

As you may have learned to expect by now, it's British journalism doing the hard work for Americans, but a prominent Bush lobbyist has been caught on tape offering to sell access to the Bush administration. He's talking about face-to-face meetings with Dick Check, Condoleeza Rice and other high-ranking officials in exchange for money. There's the possibility of the US administration making "favorable" statements which are beneficial to the the payee.

You know the odds are stacked against anyone having the courage to do anything.

In other news, the mainstream media is finally beginning to use the word "war crimes" in connection with torture.  Again, I've grown so cynical that I know nothing will come of this.  I believe most major Democratic figures are tantamount to traitors and if they follow this up, their own culpability will be established.

Who?

Saw this older gentleman walking around our building a few times in the past couple of days. Wild hair, long jowls always engaged in conversation. Seemed like a nice bloke, but I was curious who he was. I routinely fail to recognize people in my building because there are tons of us, but something about him seemed familiar.

Then when I stepped outside of our building, I saw another gentleman frantically dialing his mobile and practically shouting into it "I just saw Jeremy Clarkson!"

Um, who?

Seems Mssr. Clarkson is one of the presenters of the wildly popular Top Gear television show.

I'm so ignorant of TV that a few days ago I was introduced to a lady who presents news on some BBC station. Can't recall her name or her face. I'm oblivious.

And just for you, I'm including a video of him. Why? Because he's driving a car in two of the buildings I'm in almost every day. I thought you might be curious about where I work. And yes, I do mean he's driving a car in those buildings.

(Side note to Aristotle: nope, this sound synchs perfectly, unlike the video I uploaded. I don't know that it's a problem on my end, but I could be mistaken)

Sound Check

I can't yet say why I'm doing video (it will likely be a few months before I can say anything), but here's a quick video of my brother Greg and myself doing a sound check.

Interestingly, this is the tone of most of our conversations.
