Obama and McCain

Well, by now you know that Obama won. Symptomatic of the entire election was John McCain's concession speech. He was decent. He was a gentleman. He was honorable. The crowd booed him and shouted obscenities. Until those extremists are marginalized -- and I'm pretty sure McCain is horrified by them -- we have a lot of work to do. Still, for the first time in quite a while, I want to be back in the US, celebrating with Americans. And for the first time in an even longer time, I'm am very proud of my country. I'm not used to that.

I really want to be able to celebrate this victory right now, but I'm at work and there's a leaving do tonight. Perhaps this weekend.

My leaving do is FAR more important than some silly election. Sigh, the world needs to get its priorities straight!!!
i like to hope that those obnoxious extremists were palin supporters. she seemed to be the one out on the campaign trail trying to rile them up.
I did notice that McCain's crowds always needed some babysitting. What's up with that? They booed him often and he was always like 'settle down, my friends'. Friends don't boo each other.

GET YOUR ASS BACK TO ALASKA, SARAH!
Re: c'mon home
Sorry R, I am home now. I'm happy to see what happened in the US, but I'm happy to be living over here. Aside from the absolutely rubbish government, it's great.
I am happy that Obama has won however, I would like to say I am proud of my country as they get involved AFTER the voting and monitor their government. All too much these last 8 years they have laid down for the abuse by the right...

It's time the people took the control that the founders gave them.
